My original thinking of branding is really been challanged after lessons.
At the original thinking about branding. I think brand is more like a value symbol, making it easier for customers to remember and choose a product. It also provides guidance on spiritual values. Put forward an initiative, in order to bring people together who share a common belief. Finally achieve products sales and getting profit.
After this week’s lessons, I realized I had so straightforward to thinking the meaning of branding as a line with only one direction. Every angles are from the perspective of the brand to think. Neglect customers pespective and their connections with brand and society.
Now I think branding have a broaden meaning. At the one hand, brand more like foundation of our contemporary lifestyle. A leader who initiate a common goal and call on everyone to work together to achieve this goal. In the process of achieving the goal. We build a brand new society and lifestyle. At the other hand, it still have it’s traditional funtions. It’s one part of economy cycle. Give customers more solid expectation of future and products they imagine. And provide intangible assets for finance and economy as well.
Eventually, give all of us a chance to rethink and rebuild the meaning of our life.
